We love candles

In Indonesia, we found a producer capable of realizing our candle designs one-to-one in color sequence, shape, and colors. Our designs are often so complex that they are handcrafted.
Once a year, we visit the Fair-Trade certified company. Together with the involved specialists, we consider how new designs can be implemented.
We are pleased that this company particularly helps women achieve greater independence locally through higher wages and social security.
The candles are made from purely vegetable, RSPO certified stearin wax.

Each candle is checked for quality upon arrival at our warehouse in Hamburg and individually packaged by us.

Colors

Yellow is not just yellow....

Our candles thrive on color. A significant part of developing new designs for us involves selecting and coordinating colors and shades, and determining their proportions.
Sometimes it's about millimeters, or about the fact that yellow isn't just yellow.

Since colors in wax have a different effect than on printed paper, we prefer to work on-site. All candle colors we have ever used are archived here. It's a beautiful and challenging job.

Casting

A mold for every candle...

The liquid, pre-dyed wax is poured by hand into multi-part molds. The more complex the candle, the more molds are used.
The material of the molds is plastic, plaster, or silicone.

Finishing

In the end

After the candles are removed from the mold, the fine work begins. Excess candle wax is removed, the surface is smoothed, and the candle is cut to length. Finally, taper candles are given a conical crown.

Only now, after many individual steps, are the candles packed securely for shipping and sent to us in Hamburg.
